SMAC

A group of community supporters of Smartshop worked with Holly to establish the SMARTSHOP METAL ARTS CENTER (SMAC), a nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting the metal arts under the guidelines of serving students and artists in a not-for-profit environment. SMAC will assume responsibility for operating the teaching and workshop areas of Smartshop in a way that promotes public participation through classes, metal art exhibitions, workshops and public events. In other words, SMAC will work with Holly to create opportunities for all the residents of West Michigan to avail themselves of Smartshop.

Of course one great advantage of having SMAC is that individuals, businesses, corporations and funding institutions may provide financial support to a registered nonprofit corporation. SMAC has already received and is seeking donations for scholarships to classes and support for outreach activities by Holly to diverse groups within our community.

We hope you will consider making a personal tax-deductible donation to SMAC. Or, to learn more, contact Holly or any of these SMAC Board members: David Feaster, Martha Aills, Beth Yankee, Vince Faust, Anne Mehring, Felix Brooks or Kathy Kreager.
