The Family Forge is a 2 hour workshop offered

Forge is an exciting, safe, and challenging
class designed specifically for students 10
- 16 years of age and their parents, relatives
or supportive adult friends. Students
will learn how to safely use a coal forge,
anvil, hammer, and tongs while developing
elementary blacksmithing skills. Teamwork,

BLACKSMITHING TASTER

Meets on: 
Meets Saturday, September 27 12 noon -5pm

Delve into this ancient and revered art
form and make your own hand forged steel
articles in just one day! You'll learn how to
safely and effectively use a coal forge, anvil,
hammer, tongs and hand files to create a
unique and useful letter opener and a pair of
chopsticks. Bring lots of drinking water and a
snack. All materials and safety gear provided.
4 students min. 6 students max.

Cost: $130.00 per student.

Weekend Welding Workshop

Designed specifically for our out of town & very busy friends who would like to learn more about welding & artistic metal working. Spend lots of quality work time in a spacious, well-equipped metal working studio with an experienced, enthusiastic, & incredibly helpful instructor. You'll make a wall hung sculpture, a small lidded box, a 4’ – 6’ high garden flower, & a project of your choosing.

Workshop meets 6-8 pm on Friday, 9am-5p m Saturday, & 9am -4 pm, Sunday.

HAND FORGED KNIVES

Meets on: 
Meets Saturday & Sunday, Dec 6&7, 10am - 3pm

Whether you've had a little or a lot of forging
experience, you're sure to get a great result
from this thrilling and productive workshop.
You'll learn several techniques for forging
a one-piece knife from high carbon steel.
Metals identification, hand forging techniques,
normalizing, hardening, tempering,
and sharpening demonstrations will help you
make a beautiful knife that performs well.
Bring lots of drinking water and a snack. All
materials and safety gear provided.
